Since I decided to go to Jon Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity" in D.C. on 10/30, I've been thinking about what clever, witty, or thought-provoking sign I might want to bring with me.  Some of my favorite ideas have been: My Other Sign is an Honor Student, [Citation Needed] (From http://xkcd.com/285/), "... in Bed." (while standing next to other signs), Bring Back the Bull Moose Party, and Signs Don't Help Anything.

But then I just saw this SF geek sign from an article about the counter-protest against the WBC's Twitter protest and I LOVED it.
Vote for No. 6
I assume most local print shops could make this if I have a high-res photo of Patrick McGoohan as Number 6 - Does anyone have one or know where I could get one?.  Ditto for the classic Prisoner font, surely one of my LJ friends must have that already.

FYI, here's a link the the version of the sign actually used in The Prisoner episode "Free For All" for a reference to the correct photo and font I'd want to use (not that I have obsessive-compulsive tendencies or anything).

Cat sitting offered (assuming you're taking the whole family).

The classic Prisoner font is Albertus Medium with two modifications: cut open the loop of the "e" and delete the dots over the "i" and "j". The simplest way to generate it (assuming you have Albertus Medium, which IIRC comes bundled with MS Word, Publisher, etc) is probably to use the "text" tool on any graphics program and tweak those letters individually (well, one copy of each, then cut and paste as needed). You may also need to tweak the kerning (i.e. tighten the space between the "e" and the next letter, which will be a bit larger because of the chunk cut out of the letter), though that issue won't arise for this particular text.

Six for One! Six for One!

Why choose just one?

Make one side the Prisoner, but make the other side a whiteboard!

Folks always think of the perfect reply too late, so now just bring the whiteboard contact paper (stop and shop) and a marker, and you can have your sign match the speaker.

If I thought the weather would support it, I'd be going in a belly dance costume and carrying a sign saying "Shimmies for Sanity".

I don't have anything helpful, I just wanted to use my Free for All icon. Well, and I like the idea, of course.
